What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I love to compete. Basketball is where I follow my dad's footsteps, bringing hustle, toughness, and a relentless work ethic by attacking every possession. Golf is my battle against the course and myself - I'm locked in, precise, and calculated on every shot to climb the leaderboard with low scores. love golf because it's a gentleman's sport and an honorable game that takes determination and grit. I get to meet new people, make friends, and honor my grandpa every time I play to win.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My grandpa inspires me, he got me into golf as a little kid. I lost him a couple years ago, but still play to make him proud. Every medal earned makes me think of him and feel him with me. My dad is my biggest supporter and an athlete himself, equipping me with all the skills and tools to compete. He grinds through drills and practices every night with me while Mom fuels me with healthy meals. I'm grateful.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Our proudest moment is watching him rise above the critics who constantly tried to keep him down. Instead of breaking, he worked harder than everyone and proved he has what it takes to be great at any sport or anything he puts his mind to. Only a freshman at Varsity Regionals, he took 2nd out of 92 golfers - one stroke shy of first - and qualified individually for State Finals as a varsity golfer. We admire his heart, perseverance, and tenacity.
