He loves the work ethic he shares with his friends and teammates and the feeling of working together toward the same goal. He also loves the relationships he has built with his coaches, who have become more than just coaches to him. They are mentors he respects and looks up to, both on and off the field.
His best friend, who has been by his side playing soccer since they first started, is one of his biggest inspirations. They have grown up playing together, pushing each other to improve along the way. His coaches and teammates also inspire him by challenging him to work harder, keep learning, and become a better player and teammate.
One of my proudest moments was watching his team win the Knoxville Jam last year. It was an 8-team tournament, and they spent the entire day playing against teams that were about two years older than them. Watching him and his teammates keep fighting, working together, and ultimately win the tournament was something I’ll never forget.
