What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat I love most about playing football is competing and being around my teammates. I love making plays, helping my team win, and proving to myself how much I can improve. I also like the challenge of playing different positions and learning new things. Most of all, I love the feeling of being on the field and knowing that all the work I put in during practice is paying off.
My biggest inspiration on and off the field is my dad. He has always pushed me to work hard, stay focused, and believe in myself. He teaches me that success comes from being consistent and never giving up, even when things get hard. My coaches and teammates also inspire me because they challenge me to get better every day. I want to make everyone who supports me proud while becoming the best person and athlete I can be.
One moment that makes me the proudest is watching Tru step outside of his comfort zone and transition from wide receiver to defensive back. He went to the University of Texas football camp and competed at cornerback, even though it wasn’t his original position. Seeing him learn, compete, and hold his own against other talented athletes showed me how much he has grown. I’m proud of him not just for what he can do on the field, but for his willingness to work, learn, and challenge himself.
