Tru’Shey is inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo’s talent, dedication, and hard work. He also looks up to his older brother, who plays soccer and inspires his love for the game. Off the field, his dad inspires him by spending time with him, encouraging him, and making sports and new experiences fun.
One of my proudest moments was watching Tru’Shey earn 2nd place in javelin. I was proud of the medal, but even prouder of the hard work and determination behind it. Seeing him believe in himself, give his best, and celebrate his teammates showed me that his greatest victories are the confidence, perseverance, and sportsmanship he’s building along the way
