What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreShe loves the team effort of volleyball. The tournaments are long, hard, but give you a great shot to create synergy. Trysta’s favorite part of barrel racing is the focus on your horse and the partnership you have to create with them.
She’s truly inspired by the Texas A&M coaching staff of their volleyball team. She loves all the social media posts and focus on mental toughness. For Barrel Racing she loves to follow Sherry Cervi, a 4x NFR world champion barrel racer with $3 million in earnings. Sherry does a lot of big events for youth kids and we try to make those events.
As a 10 year old Trysta’s horse got hurt and was out of competition. She was unable to compete but still went to the event to cheer on her friends. That was very emotional for her. As a 13 year old, we didn’t know a lot about club volleyball. She started with a beginner clinic that houses a club team and the coach asked Trysta if she wanted to be a practice player, she gladly accepted. After being a practice player for a few months she was able to play and was their starter middle.
