Tyiena

What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Tyiena plays for a club team but she is often found playing alone in the driveway,working on her shot and dribbling. She asked me to join the gym and she encourages me to go regularly. We have done 76 workouts together since December 2025. Her dedication to baksetball and ways to improve her game are unmatched. She watches men's and women's basketball, loves Caitlin Clark, Steph, Lebron and Luka. She finds a way to be the best that she can be and is happiest playing games.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Tyiena is a self motivated child. She learned to read at a very young age, by reading signs on the street and asking for books at 3 or 4. She is a hard working girl who loves to put in her best effort into school sports and everything she does. She was one of only 2 girls to be recognized at her grade 7 class for an award they give to kids who are all around ( sports, academics, volunteering ). In grade 8 She was one of the baksetball teams MVPs due to her all around team play.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Tyiena was a tennis girl but she really loved basketball at an early age. Tyienas younger sister made club team before Tyiena did. Tyiena stayed humble and kept attending practices as a development player for the team. She worked very hard on the off season and made the club team. This year, she was named MVP for her high school gr 8 team and she became a regular starter for her club team ( Elevate). She maintains a very high report card as well and she is an amazing 14 year old who is very kind
