What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I love the competition. It’s an extremely challenging sport. I like that your success is dependent on your own level of commitment. If you fail that is on you. The atmosphere of track and field is exceptional. Most athletes I encounter are very respectful and encouraging.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Tate Taylor because we are similar in age and he excels at running. It’s inspiring to see someone my age competing at top level track meets.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My proudest moment was when I achieved my newest PR in the 200. I’ve been working hard all season and it all came together that meet.
