What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about soccer is being part of something bigger than myself. I love competing, pushing myself to improve, and knowing my teammates are counting on me. Soccer has taught me discipline, leadership, resilience, and how to keep going when things get tough. I’ve played for most of my life, and there’s nothing like competing alongside my teammates and giving everything I have for the game I love.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My parents have always supported me and pushed me to be my best, but my coaches have helped shape the player I am today. Coach Oumar at Galaxy Soccer Club has especially inspired me. He has invested countless hours working with me one-on-one, teaching me not only the skills to excel as a center back, but the discipline, confidence, leadership, and mindset it takes to become the best player I can be.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Being selected for a National-level soccer team is one of my proudest moments, not just because of the achievement, but because of what it took to get there. From earning a varsity spot within my freshman year, to becoming captain and MVP, to competing at the ECNL level, I’ve learned that success comes from continuing to work, grow, and believe in myself. Knowing that my perseverance and hard work helped me reach this point makes me incredibly proud.
