Learn MoreFootball is truly in his DNA. He has been playing since he was 7 years old, following a family legacy that runs deep. His father played little league and high school football before earning a full scholarship to play at Elon University. His older brother played through high school and was preparing to play at the college level before the pandemic changed those plans. His younger brother now plays alongside him, while his little sisters have also played flag football.
His Papa Chester whom passed away when he was 4 years old. He still wears his picture on a necklace charm as a reminder that his spirit is still here. He didn’t get a chance to ever see Tysen play football but had confidence that the little boy Tysen would grow up and enter the NFL.
September 5th 2025, Tysen made a one handed catch at the last few seconds of the game and helped his team beat Bassett HS. The newspaper called it an “Odell Beckham” catch and a photographer captured a picture of it. We blew it up and hung it on the wall.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
