Join the CompetitionWaylon loves being able to be himself. He plays catcher and he gets to meet the opposing team players. He helps them if they need help by picking up their bat and handing it to their coach. He is also the first to help if one player gets injured. He's the first to try something new to help him get to his goal.
The person who inspires him the most is his great-grandpa in heaven, John David Wall.
The one thing that makes me the proudest of him is simply the way he’s so compassionate towards his opponents. No matter the outcome he still talks to his opponents like they’re his friends. During his first tournament, the opposing team played walk-up music and my son being catcher would dance right along with the music no matter what. The parents of the opposing team kids were getting a kick out of him dancing and enjoyed watching him. He really puts his heart out there.
