Westin is just your all American kid that had to put in the work and trust the process and know its starting to pay off.
Thank you for supporting Westin in this competition. Your participation made a huge impact for the Why Not You Foundation and their mission to empower change in the world, one individual at a time and one child at a time.
What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreJust competing and being competitive, putting in work and trusting the process. Westin is not the most talented but he does have talent, he has had grind and work hard and know he is seeing what the hard work has done for him in the process and this is what pushes him forward to be the best he can be.
He looks up to his brother who is 8 years older so he grew up watching his brother play sports is inspired to be just like him. He is very fortunate to have great coaches and have had great coaching, he's just been blessed to been able to surround himself with good people and good things are happening.
Westin is not the most talented but don't get me wrong he does have talent but he didn't always start when he was younger never really let on that it bothered him just kept going and trusted the process now he has come into his own and seeing the process take shape right in front of him. He is humble because he wasn't always the the best or isn't but just does his thing and it works. He is the athlete of the year in his families eyes and should be America's as well.
