What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreI love competing, having fun with my teammates, and trying to get better every time I play. I love the excitement of games and matches and seeing all my hard work pay off. Sports have taught me to keep trying even when things get hard and to never give up. I also love making new friends and memories with my teammates. Most of all, I love using the talents God gave me, having fun, and doing something I really love!
My dad is always there supporting me, coaching me, cheering me on and teaching me to work hard and never give up. My grandpas are my biggest fans and they show me how to love God, love people and be thankful for every day. My grandpa says, “Treating every day like it’s Thanksgiving is what I try to do. I’ve won a few Championships in my lifetime. I have one more to win. That is the Championship of Life. Working hard everyday for that one.” I hope I grow up to be like both of them. ❤️
Watching Wrigley come back from a 2–10 deficit in wrestling and win by pin. I wasn’t proudest because he won, but because he never quit. We teach him to work hard, pray, trust God with the outcome and give Him the glory. That day, those lessons became his own. Something clicked, and we had a front-row seat to true growth in action. The ring was special, but witnessing his faith, heart and determination grow before our eyes meant so much more.
