What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He enjoys seeing his hard work and perseverance pay off during the competitions. He is always excited to learn new forms and tricks to help improve his katas. He loves the companionship with his fellow teammates.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Phillip Brumme; He shows such skill and precision when he competes as well being fun to watch and great at hyping up the crowd.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

When he performed in the AAU Junior Olympics for sport karate. He brought 3 new forms that he designed himself and cleaned up with his Sensei. He placed in all of those events. I was also proud of the sportsmanship he showed towards his other competitors, even if he lost to them.
