What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreBeing in the game, working together as a team on and off the court, and making the most of his time whenever he gets a chance to practice. Wyatt has grown tremendously in a short time. He was psyched to hit multiple half court shots this week!
Wyatt's cousin, Logan, has played bball multiple years now. He's always looked up to him due to his brotherly love and compassion. My sister played in Utah for Nationals when she was in highschool and Wyatt really hopes to reach all the stars with his own bball career. His closest friends in school definitely influenced him to play bball, as well as flag football. Regardless of his rare genetic disorder with nose bleeds, which rarely happen on the court or field, he gives 150%!!!
The first year was tough, and the team collectively felt like they were the weakest league. They all learned so much more than the other teams in the end, as they worked together and kept showing up as a team, determined to beat what felt impossible. They did win one game before the end of the season, but in all honesty, they were winning from the beginning, in so many other ways.
