There is something special about working together toward a goal and knowing that every training session, early morning, and difficult workout brings me closer to becoming a better athlete. I also love the friendships and memories I have made through the sport.
My biggest inspiration comes from my teammates, coaches, and family. My coaches push me to become a better athlete while my teammates motivate me to keep going when training gets difficult. My family has always supported me and encouraged me to work hard and never give up. Seeing the dedication of the people around me inspires me to give my best every day.
The moments that make me proudest are the races where I know I gave absolutely everything I had. One of the most rewarding feelings is finishing a race exhausted but knowing that I left nothing in the boat. Those moments remind me of all the early mornings, hard practices, and sacrifices that went into getting there. I am proud of the athlete I have become through paddling.
