Meeting new teammates and playing for wonderful coaches is what the game is all about. All these things help her succeed not only on the field but also translates off the field as well.
It’s so cliche but her greatest inspiration has to be her dad. From the time she could hold a ball he’s been by her side as a coach, teacher, leader and someone she looks up to, even when he makes her mad. The fact that she is confident enough to express anything with him and would much rather spend time with family over friends is a testament to how inspiring and important he is in her life.
Being selected to play softball in Spain which she did just this past month. While others had to apply to be part of this special and unique team, somehow our daughter stood out to the coach and our daughter was contacted directly by the coach requesting her to join the team. As parents you know what your child is capable of but when others see it, it’s probably a little more meaningful. Between Spain and her amazing leadership skills on and off the field it’s impossible not to be proud!
