What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves judo because it challenges him to become stronger, more disciplined, and confident. He enjoys learning new techniques, pushing himself to improve, and competing against others while always showing respect. Judo has taught him that success comes from hard work, patience, and never giving up. He loves the feeling of accomplishing something he once found difficult and seeing his hard work pay off. Most of all, he loves being part of the judo community, making friends & supporting teammates

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

He is inspired by the challenge of becoming better every day. Watching his coaches, teammates, and other athletes push themselves motivates him to work harder and never give up. He is inspired by the progress he sees in himself, especially when his dedication and practice lead to success. Judo has taught him that setbacks are opportunities to learn and grow. He is also inspired by his family, who encourage him to believe in himself, work hard, stay humble, and always give his best.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Competing at Nationals was one of his biggest accomplishments. He had to overcome nerves and fears that could have held him back, but he stepped onto the mat with courage and confidence. Against some of the best young judoka in the country, he fought through every match and finished an incredible 4th place. While he didn’t bring home a medal, he proved to himself that he can overcome fear, rise to the challenge, and compete at the highest level. This experience made him stronger, more confident
