What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What he love most about soccer is being on the field with his teammates and working together. He loves the excitement of the game, improving his skills, and knowing that all his hard work pays off. And of course making a goal.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My mom , who is a single mom inspires me both on and off the field because she always encourages me to work hard and never give up. She believes in me even when I doubt myself, and she teaches me to be a good person and treat others with respect. She is my number one fan. Always there at every game. She makes sure that I’m at every practice and she stays to watch me practice.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

As Zanes mom, I am proud of every accomplishment, but I am especially proud of the moments when he has had to overcome challenges. Watching him pick himself back up, continue working, and stay passionate about soccer has shown me the strength and character he has developed through sports.
