What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Zane loves the competitiveness that football brings. He says every loss is a chance to turn it into a gain by working harder. He enjoys competing against talented players, and there’s nothing better than coming out on top knowing he earned it through hard work.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Zane says his coaches inspire him both on and off the field. He knows they volunteer their time to show up for him and his teammates, even though they don’t have kids on the team. He appreciates that they’re at every practice and every game, always teaching, encouraging, and celebrating with them. He says they’ve shown him what it means to truly care about others.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My proudest moment in Zane’s athletic journey was during the Youth National Championship a few years ago. He made a tackle that forced a fumble, and that play helped set his team up for the game-winning score. Seeing his hard work pay off in such a big moment made me incredibly proud.
