What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves being challenged. Whether he’s on the ice or the baseball field, he wants to learn, compete and find a way to improve. He practices both sports every day and approaches even the hardest days with a positive mindset. He loves the workouts, and repetition it takes to help him become faster and stronger. For him, the best part isn’t just winning, it’s chasing a big dream, working hard for it and enjoying the challenge along the way.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Connor McDavid inspires him because he represents the level of player he dreams of becoming. His ultimate goal is to play for the Montreal Canadiens, win a Stanley Cup and one day become even better than McDavid. It’s a huge dream, and that’s exactly what he loves about it. It motivates him to practice every day, stay positive, work on his speed and strength, and keep pushing when things are difficult. He believes challenges are opportunities to get better.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that makes us the proudest was his first hockey camp. He joined even though he could barely skate and was the smallest and least experienced kid there. Instead of getting discouraged he showed up every day with a positive attitude and worked incredibly hard to catch up. By the end of the week, his effort and improvement earned him an award. That moment showed us who he is as an athlete. he doesn’t shy away from being behind or from something being hard. it motivates him to work harder
