Zella is inspired by legends who shape how she views the game. She looks up to WNBA stars like A'ja Wilson, whose dominant leadership teaches her how to be a strong teammate, and rookie phenom Olivia Miles, who proves that youth is no barrier to excellence. Off the court and through history, the fearless grit of Allen Iverson inspires her to play with heart despite her size, while Michael Beasley’s pure scoring talent reminds her to play with confidence.
My proudest moment was watching my daughter win the Most Valuable Player Award. Seeing her hold that MVP Award was unforgettable, but what truly filled me with pride was knowing it reflected all of her behind-the-scenes effort. It rewarded the countless hours she spent practicing her dribbling, learning court strategy, and supporting her team. Winning MVP proved to her that dedication leads to recognition, and seeing her hard work validated on such a level is a memory I will cherish forever.
