What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about playing basketball is that it is fun and it teaches me to work with my teammates towards one goal. I enjoy learning new skills, and challenging myself to become better. I also love the friendships I get to make along the way and create special memories.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

On the field, I am inspired by Caitlin Clark. She is an incredible athlete. Always making buckets, and her ball handling amazing. She also. She also experiences a lot of challenges on the court and is able to handle it well. Off the court, my mom inspires me because she is strong and is always trying to get better in her sport. She motivates me to push myself and is teaching me to be strong. She always reminds me to believe in myself even when it feels hard.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of my proudest moments is when I realized I could take the skills I learned in practice and use them at a game. I’m finally learning to be more confident and I know that will only get better with more practice. I am also proud of the times that I push myself. I’m learning to be strong mentally and also physically. I have big goals to reach.
