What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat I love most about running track is the mental side of the sport—the focus, discipline, and clarity it demands. Before every race, I lock into the zone, shutting out everything except my lane and my goal. Track challenges my mind as much as my body, pushing me to stay calm, confident, and fully present. That feeling of total focus and purpose is what keeps me devoted to the sport.
I’m inspired by the growth I see each time I run. I set goals for myself with every race, always chasing new PRs. If I don’t reach them, I stay patient and push harder the next time. Track teaches me discipline, resilience, and belief in my own progress. The challenge of improving, learning, and striving toward my best is what motivates me on and off the track.
My proudest moment was this past summer when I ran 11.93 in the 100m, 24.84 in the 200m, and 57.71 in the 400m. Those races showed how far my dedication, discipline, and resilience have taken me. After months of extra training, overcoming setbacks, and staying focused on my goals, seeing that growth on the clock made me truly proud of the athlete I’m becoming.
