What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Zohar loves the competitiveness of basketball and the constant opportunity to improve. He enjoys being part of a team, making the right play, and seeing how individual effort can contribute to something bigger. Basketball has also given him friendships, confidence, and the opportunity to challenge himself both physically and mentally. He has met and worked with incredible coaches both in Canada and in US which has made him an incredible player and a person with high character.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Zohar finds inspiration all around him starting with his family, friends and coaches. He is inspired by athletes who combine talent with discipline, humility, and perseverance. He respects players who put in the work when no one is watching and who use their success to lift up their teammates and communities. Those qualities reflect the kind of athlete and person he strives to become.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

What makes me proudest is not one particular game or performance, but watching Zohar continue to pursue his goals through the ups and downs that come with competitive sport. He has learned to respond to setbacks by working harder, seeking feedback, and staying committed. Seeing him develop that resilience, while remaining a supportive teammate and grounded young man, has been more meaningful than any statistic or award.
