Zeke loves sports because they challenge him and connect him with others. He’s a fierce competitor who also lifts his teammates up. This past soccer season, his goal wasn’t just to score—it was to lead the team in assists. For Zeke, it’s not just about winning, but growing, serving, and helping everyone around him succeed.
On the field, Zeke is inspired by his coaches—their belief in him and how they push him to grow. Off the field, it’s his mom, dad, and church mentors who shape his character. They’ve modeled humility, hard work, and faith, and Zeke carries that with him in everything he does.
After a tough summer physically, we weren’t sure if Zeke would return to the same level of play. In the first game, the other team scored early, and he looked deflated after they couldn’t stop them. As a coach, I told him, “Go give them an answer.” Next play, he took a toss sweep and weaved through the entire team for a TD! You could see his and his team’s confidence rise. I was proud of how he led them from that moment on.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
