What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I love the way it feels to sprint! I love seeing how the training I’ve done has improved my speed and times so much from the beginning of the season. I also love to win, especially against older taller kids!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His Dad is his trainer. He’s inspired to train hard and be faster than his Dad was. He also watches hours of film on Usain Bolt, Justin Gatlin and the other kids he races regularly. They all inspire him to train harder and be faster.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Regionals 2025 he was slated to get 2nd in the 200m. He’s the youngest in his age bracket with 10 year olds who are over a foot taller than him. He burned out 15m from the finish and his local nemesis took 2nd. Instead of crying, he shook his hand, congratulated him and chose to be proud instead of angry and cry.
