My athletic wonder boy loves the game of baseball and everything about it. The camaraderie and sportsmanship is an area where he loves to lead by example. He loves to push himself to be better every practice and every game.
My son is inspired by his late grandfather, Pops. Pops made it to every game and practice since Hammond was a tee ball player at age 3. He was Hammonds biggest fan (next to his mama of course). Pops always encouraged Hammond to have fun and do his best always. He also taught Hammond a lot about how to be a good winner and a good loser too.
The day my guy hit his first over the fence home run. The smile on his face was worth every long drive, long days and every penny spent. He set a goal to hit one out at that game and he reached that goal. It lit a fire inside of him and I can not wait to see where it takes him in life. I couldn't be more proud of my player.
