What Max loves most about travel hockey and soccer isn’t just the competition, it’s the adventure. He lives for the early morning drives, the laughs with teammates, and the thrill of playing in new cities. Whether he’s on the ice or the field, Max loves the challenge, the fast pace, and pushing himself to get better every game. But most of all, he loves the friendships and memories built along the way, they’re what make every season unforgettable.
Max is inspired by his hockey coach Jeff Turner, who pushes him to be tough, focused, and a great teammate. Off the ice and field, his biggest fans are his grandparents, they never miss a game and always remind him to stay humble, kind, and work hard. Coach Turner teaches him how to lead, while his grandparents show him what it means to be a good person. Together, they’re the reason Max plays with heart, grit, and purpose every single day.
Max’s proudest moment is also mine. Watching him grow and climb the ladder in hockey has been incredible. From his first time on the ice to competing at the highest travel levels, he’s earned everything through hard work and heart. I’ve seen him face pressure, rise to challenges, and never back down. As a parent, there’s nothing better than watching your kid chase their dream with grit and love for the game. I couldn’t be prouder of the young man he’s becoming.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
